3.
REFLECTION

3.1  Experience

The module begins by learning the visual elements and principles of design, then apply them throughout our works. Along the way of exploration, hands-on and feedbacks, I slowly get the idea to keep in mind of these theories to create visually appealing and meaningful designs.

This module gives a lot of freedom on choosing our own topic and puts the focus on the learning to use the theories learnt. I quite liked this setting because although all of the classes for this module were fully online based, I somehow get to know my coursemates.

3.2  Observations

In these 14 weeks, I have noticed the difference of vibe and learning style in science course vs design course. Receiving and learn from feedbacks is quite a major part in design modules, while there are very little-to-none feedbacks in my science modules. The design of this module's teaching and learning style have provided me a chance to observe and compare others work, then reflect on my own work.

5.3  Findings

Learning design theory can help to train the skill to translate theoretical concepts into tangible design solutions. Note to self: Continue to explore, experiment and refine! Be an effective communicator in both visual and verbal :D
