Why learn Photoshop?
Express creativity. Opens the door of endless opportunities and recognize your very own capacities. Create graphic design. Development the format of business card, poster, website, etc. Restore old images. Using healing brush, clone stamp, patch tools. Integrate graphics with text artistically. Find out ways to combine images with a message. Eg. use embossing, bevel, decline darkness to make the message aesthetically appealing. Make use of brushes. Each supplies a special impact. Also, for efficiency. Change photo color. Rectify mistakes in photographs.
Photography Manipulation, the world before Photoshop.
Figure The curiosity, creativity and love of photographers dating back to the old times. Restoring a cherished memory, creating a more complete memory, a visual representation of what could have been.
Digital Imaging, the world of infinite possiblities.
Digital imaging converts the printed text, artwork, and photographs into digital images using a digital scanner or another imaging device. Techniques include: Removing or adding details. Photomontage. To pair images to suggest a relationship or create an entirely new image with a composite meaning. False captioning. Context of what a photograph purportedly portrays is falsified to distort the meaning.
Tips of successful graphic designer
- Follow tutorials.
- Experiment.
- Memorize all keyboard shortcuts. Memorize them according to the priority level.
- Try to replicate others work. This is the proven valuable learning experience which helps to see how much one could accomplish things which works in real world, with own experiments in design try to duplicate the famous designs to know one capabilities.
- 🔥Participate in Design Competitions. Develops confidence to challenge your own skills and brings fun at the same time. It gives the opportunity to present best out of someone to create something specific which is being judge by others.
- Subscribe to online galleries. Excellent source of inspiration. Constant updates.
- 🔥Smart objects for smart designers, eg. performing non-destructive transforms and filtering. Especially handy when heavy graphics are used like stock photos, social media icons, etc.
- 🔥Scaling artworks and proportions.
- 🔥Use actions to personalize work. To reduce the repetitive exercise of doing same thing over and over again, record those steps with actions and run with one click where necessary.
- Organize files properly. Identifies the key points of each and every section or group quickly. Good impression.

DESIGN #1:

Description. This poster is a summary for an episode from a Marvel series, specifically The Sinister Six from The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1. The concept is to portray the 6 villains of Spider-Man’s planning to team up to kill Spider-Man.
Why I like the design. MEANINGFUL THEME EXECUTION - I am amazed at how the designer has perfectly incorporated the Spider-Man theme into the poster. The use of each spider web hole to feature a different character creates a captivating composition that leaves a lasting impression. Additionally, since these characters are Spider-Man's villains, their presence on the web symbolizes Spider-Man's success in capturing them, or his control over them. The illustration effectively conveys this message. NICE VISUALS - The strong contrast between the dark reds and the pale yellow background further enhances the visual impact and is pleasing to the eyes.

Description. This poster is one of the designs created by the designer for the promotional campaign of the 2022 United States Open Tennis Championship for @usopen.
Why I like the design. GREAT USAGE OF DETAILS - Overall, the poster gives a great sense of movement through the use of lines, the pose of the tennis player, muscle definition, shadows, and the contrasting large size of the ball. I particularly appreciate the detailed shadows on the tennis player; it seems like no color or shadow is wasted in the illustration. The color theme perfectly suits the sporty vibe, and the color contrast enhances the excitement of the tennis ball being hit. Additionally, the white background of the tennis ball, positioned towards the edge of the poster, creates the impression that the ball is about to fly out of the frame.

Description. This poster is an “inspirational family tree” that the designer made as a university assignment. The task was to think about who inspired us as artists and then dig a little deeper and find out who were the ones to inspire them.
Why I like the design. Before I even read the description of the poster, I was already amazed by how the designer portrayed her idea through this composition. I interpreted it as depicting the backbone designers of an organization. The characters with the same color family at their heads represent the backstory of the designers, highlighting that everyone has a background and individuals who inspire them to become who they are today. After learning more about the background of this poster (refer to the description above), I am truly impressed. Just to insert a quote by the designer, Tolnay Lili, "To make discoveries, insights, or progress due to the discoveries or previous work of those who have come before."
DESIGN #4: Extras

Description. This poster is entitled “æ€ªç‰©ç ”ç©¶“, which means “monster research” in english.
Why I like the design. The Illustration Invites Storytelling - The designer uses an intriguing point of view, looking down from above, with the table occupying the majority of the poster's space. This composition draws the audience's attention to the papers scattered on the table. It feels like the researcher is planning an adventure to search for the enormous fish, using those maps. This creative perspective sparks the imagination and invites viewers to think about the story behind the scenes.
5. REFLECTION
Tips learn are very interesting and useful. Motivated me to join some competitions near future.
